The guards in Costa Rica have intercepted an unusual delivery of drugs in prison, catching a cat that jumped on the fence of the periphery at night with marijuana and crack attached to their body.

The black and white cat, which transported more than 230 grams of marijuana and 67 grams of cocaine crack in two packages, was captured this month in a prison in the canton of Pococi, said the Ministry of Justice in a statement last week.

The ministry shared a video of a guard that scale a perimeter fence to catch the cat.

Later, the feline looks at a prison table while the guards carefully cut the packages of their small body and remove the drugs from their fur.

“Thanks to the rapid actions (of the guards), the cat was captured and the packages were eliminated, which prevented them from” to the inmates, the ministry said.

According to the BBC, prison officials gave the cat to the National Animal Health Service for an evaluation.

Some social media begins made fun of the incident. “And how many years in prison will the cat get?” A person commented.

Others expressed indignation and sympathy for the cat.

“How cruel,” wrote the commentator. “Poor Kitty”.
