F/A-18 Hornet Fighter Jet Falls Off Aircraft Carrier, Lost at Sea

It has been reported that a Super Hornet F/A-18 combat plane was lost in the sea after it fell down the board while it was “actively made by Hang Bay” in the USS Harry S. Truman.

In a press release from the Marine Chief of Information Chief, it was revealed that, in addition to losing the Super Hornet F/A-18 combat plane, a “towing tractor” was also lost, since the aircraft carrier was operating in the Red Sea.

It was reported that the movement team had “lost control of the aircraft.”

“The USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) lost a Super Hornet F/A-18E assigned to the Fighter Strike Fighter (VFA) 136 squad and a trailer tractor when the aircraft carrier operated in the Red Sea, on April 28,” said the press release. “All personnel are taken into account, with a sailor suffering a minor injury.”

An American official said that the initial reports of the scene indicated that the Truman made a difficult turn to evade Houthi’s fire, which contributed to the combat plane from felling down.
