Cleveland – The Yankees initially thought that Marcus Stroman could increase quite quickly to return from the injured list in a short time.

But 10 days after his last beginning, Straw Man still has some problems with his left knee and does not sound particularly close to returning.

“He still feels some things there, so he did, he launched, but he is still the son of cleaning the way for him,” said Manager Aaron Boone on Monday in Progressive Field. “Because he still felt some things there.”

Stroman placement in the 15 -day inflammatory coincided with the return of Clarke Schmidt of the IL, so the Yankees did not need a hole in the rotation.

But its depth beyond its five current headlines is unstable, and that is with Carlos Carrasco that he is still trying to prove that he has enough in the tank to at least take the Yankees to June, which is Luis Gil’s first strain.

Stroban, 33, who is winning $ 18.5 million this season, has an award option for $ 18 million by 2026 that triggers if he launches 140 tickets this season, which would become unpleasant the more time remained in the IL.

Even so, Boone said he was hoping that Straw Man can get it while in the IL.

“I know there are some nervous things that were irritating him a bit,” said Boone. “We will continue working to try to get it physically where you need to be and then, hopefully, start building it again.”
