With the news that Pope Francis died at 88 on Easter Monday after double pneumonia and a stroke, Catholics worldwide are mourning while they also look towards the future of the Catholic Church and men who can be papal candidates.
If you are thinking If there were only a film that explains exactly what is about to happen in the Vatican while the Church prepares to choose a new Pope. Then you are in luck.
You will want to see “Concónimo”, Oscar winner 2024 starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci and Isabella Rossellini, as the real life process of the papal conclave begins in the next 15-20 days.
“Conclave”, based on Robert Harris’s novel in 2016 is a fictional version of the secret process of choosing a new pontiff, inspired by the 2005 papal conclave, in which the Cardinal’s newspaper on the process was leaked to the press.
