Amid increasing tensions between India and Pakistan, the United States has said that it will not be involved in a war that is “fundamental none of our affairs.”
While the United States cannot control India and Pakistan, it can encourage the two neighbors of Nuclear Soul to break down, said Vice President JD Vance in a television interview on Thursday.
“Look, we are worried about any time when the nuclear powers Chocen and have an important conflict,” Vance told him when he was asked that the Trump administration is a possible nuclear war between India and Pakistan.
Vance quoted the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who said that Washington wants tensions to “decline” as quickly as possible.
“We cannot control the thesis countries.
“The United States cannot tell the Indians to leave their arms. We can not tell the Pakistani to lie down their arms. Therefore, we will continue to chase this through diplomatic channels. Our hope and our expectation is that this is not going to spiral in a broader regional war or, God does not want it, a nuclear conflict, but surely, we are worried about these things.
“But I believe that the work of diplomacy, but also the work of the coldest heads in India and Pakistan is to make sure that it has not begun a nuclear war. If it happened, of course, it would be disastrous. At this time we do not believe that it happens.”
Vance, the second Lady Usha Vance and her three children were on their first official visit to India when the terrorists killed 26 people, mostly tourists, in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmira on April 22.
Two weeks after the attack, India launched the Sindoor operation on Wednesday, pointing to the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and in Pakistan’s back.
On Thursday night, India neutralized Pakistan’s attempt to reach military stations in Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur and from one side to another with missiles and drones as the tensions shot between the military conflict.
After the Indian military frustrated the Pakistani attempts, the Ministry of Defense said that India remains “fully prepared to defend their sovereignty and guarantee the security of their people.”
Earlier on Thursday, the Rubio Secretary of State spoke separately with the Minister of External Affairs of India, S Jaishankar and the Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, emphasizing the need for the unreal disassembly.
In his call with Jaishankar, Rubio expressed the support of the United States to direct dialogue between India and Pakistan and encouraged continuous efforts to improve communications.
He reiterated his condolences for the horrible terrorist attack in Pahalgam and reaffirmed the United States’s commitment to work with India in the fight against terrorism.
In his conversation with Sharif, Rubio reiterated his calls for Pakistan to take concrete measures to end any support for terrorist groups.
