Maharashtra announces EV subsidy, toll waiver under new policy

In an attempt to boost the adoption, manufacture and load of electric vehicles, the adoption and load infrastructure in Maharashtra, the state government will sacrifice a subsidy of 10 percent on the total cost of two -wheel electric vehicles, four -wheel vehicles, electric buses and heavy vehicles.

A toll exemption has also been announced.

The disbursement for the EV OUT policy has increased to ₹ 1,995 million rupees of the first ₹ 950 million rupees.

The Government has also announced the construction of EV load facilities every 25 km along state and national roads.

The new EV policy will be in force until 2030.

The EVs will also exempt toll charges in Maharashtra.
