Seamus Derbyshire: Stoke athlete stunned after becoming fifth-fastest British man over 400m hurdles

The member of the Athletics Club of the city of Stoke, and the silver medalist in the European Sub-20 championship in 2019, also moved to the cameras in the British list of all time.

“The event is in such a strong place in the United Kingdom at this time,” Derbantshire told BBC Radio Stoke.

“So, as a statistic, it is amazing.

“I started athletics 11 years ago and if you had told me, then it is the good thing that could be potentially being that I would never believe it in a million years.

“It’s like living sleep.”

Only Chris Rawlinson, David Hemery, David Greene and Akabusi have run faster than Derbantshire externalWho is open -minded about how close it can reach the British Registry.

“I’m getting up and jumped from 29 to 5 and it’s a great leap in a race,” said Derbantshire.

“My training has a different bone than I have done before and that has kept me quite cool.

“All I was doing was suggesting that I was becoming stronger. It is the first year with a new coach and a training configuration, who knows?”
