Keely Hodgkinson out of Stockholm Diamond League after hamstring setback

The 800M Olympic champion, Koley Hodgkinson, withdrew from the Estocolm Diamond League event on Sunday after suffering a setback in his recovery of an injury to the ischiotibial.

The year 23 years was discarded from Keely Klassic, a new athletics event that founded, in February after late ischiotibes.

He had his leg to return on Sunday in Sweden for his first competitive departure of 2025.

The race would have seen Hodgkinson face the Olympic rivals Tsige Dugma de Ethopia and Mary Mora or Kenya, who won silver and bronze in Paris respectively.

However, t Hodgkinson’s return has been further delayed after a setback in his recovery of the hamstring problem that ended his inner season.

Hodgkinson, who received a MBE last month, won 800 m of gold in Paris last summer with an impressive 56.72 seconds of a minute.

While no time frame has bones on the return of Hodgkinson, he hopes to compete in the September World Championship in Tokyo, Japan.
