The Bateo Talisman of India, Virat Kohli, announced on Monday his retirement of Cricket test that ended the speculation about his future in the longest format.
Kohli, 36, appeared in 123 tests for India, scoring 9230 races with 30 hundred to an average or 46.85. Now he will only play in Odi, since he already retired from T20 Internationals last year.
“As I get away from this format, it is not easy, but it feels good. I have given everything I had, and it returns me much more than I could expect,” Kohli announced on his Instagram page.
“I am moving away with a heart full of gratitude, for the game, for the people with whom I shared the field and for each person who made me feel on the road,” he added.
His retirement continues the exodus of the great Indians of the sand of the test. Ravichandran Ashwin (in December) and Rohit Sharma (last week) are the others that have left it in the format.
